Today, for promoting Hokkaido University (Hokudai) and sustain and improve global network, Hokudai appointed some Hokudai alumni as Ambassador and Partners in Zambia under Hokkaido University Ambassador and Partner (Hokudai AP) System (Cf: Blog on 21th Oct. 2016).
This ceremony was held at the boardroom, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zambia (UNZA) and attended by Vice President of Hokudai, Prof. Ichiro Uyeda, Vice Chancellor of UNZA, Prof. Luke Evuta Mumba, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNZA, Prof. Enala Tembo Mwase, Dean of School of Veterinary Medicine, UNZA, Prof. King S. Nalubamba, Secretary from Embassy of Japan in Zambia, Mr. Yuta Sekiyama, 7 Hokudai alumni and guests from UNZA or Hokudai related organizations.
During this ceremony, Prof. Uyeda appointed 7 Hokudai alumni as Ambassador and Partners who will support Hokudai promotion activities under the Hokudai AP System. As the Ambassador of Hokudai in Zambia, Dr. Victor Chisha Zulu, Senior Lecturer, School of Veterinary Medicine, UNZA, gave remarks and made an oath to provide general support to Hokudai. After the ceremony the participants had a chance to mingle and interact among themselves, during the lunch reception.
The total number of Ambassador and Partners in Zambia is 13, even though among these others couldn’t attend due to their prior commitments. We, Hokudai Africa Office in Lusaka, appreciate their consideration for taking time to support the efforts for growing relationship between Hokudai and Zambian institutions.
