Courtesy Call to New Japanese Ambassador in Zambia

Today, we paid a courtesy call to the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan in Zambia, His Excellency Mr. Hidenobu SOBASHIMA. He took a long time to meet with us despite his busy schedule considering that he just took the assignment three weeks ago. We explained our activities especially under ‘Study-in-Japan Coordinator Project.’ H. E. Mr. SOBASHIMA listened carefully and gave us some feedback including the importance of English education in Japan.

He said “Human resource development is of essence” and appreciated our longstanding friendship between Hokkaido University and School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zambia. We were highly encouraged by his counsel and we look forward to doing our best towards improvement of the lives of the young people.
